The designation of the variables consists of a prefix for each subtest and the actual name of the variable.

Additional Information

  • COMPAT - Attention performance: Represents an overall score of the extended WAF model which integrates all of the information of all subtests. This score can only be calculated when at least one subtest each is available from each of the three areas of intensity of attention, selectivity of attention, and spatial attention.

Subtest Vigilance and sustained attention

Variable description

VIGIL - Vigilance and sustained attention: Measure of a person's long-term ability to direct their attention to simple visual or auditory stimuli calculated as the mean of the log-transformed reaction times. The frequency of relevant stimuli over a long period of time is differentiated into the two subareas of vigilance (approx. 5% of relevant stimuli) and sustained attention (approx. 30% relevant stimuli).
