Q: Where is my data stored in VTS online?
A: VTS online is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the Netherlands. This ensures that data is processed in accordance with European data protection standards and is secured accordingly. For more information on the technical and organizational measures we have in place to protect data, please visit our Trust Center.
Q: Does the Vienna Test System comply with the requirements of the GDPR or the EU AI Act?
A: Yes, as far as SCHUHFRIED is concerned, the VTS complies with the requirements of the GDPR. In particular, when operating a local, offline VTS installation, compliance with the GDPR is primarily the responsibility of the user (e.g., by ensuring the necessary access restrictions, data backup, and data deletion, etc.).
The VTS is not subject to the EU AI Act, as it does not contain any artificial intelligence systems.
More information can be found in our Trust Center.
Q: Who has access to the test results in my VTS?
A: In VTS, only authorized users have access to the test results (see: How to add users and limit their access). It is the responsibility of each VTS customer to ensure that user permissions are set correctly and that every user is trained in handling data in compliance with the GDPR.
SCHUHFRIED generally has no access to test results or other data in users’ VTS environments. Should technical issues require access to a customer’s environment, such access is permitted only upon invitation by the customer and for a temporary period.
Q: How long is data stored in VTS online, and is it eventually deleted?
A: Users can delete data at any time. SCHUHFRIED does not delete data from VTS online, as long as a valid system license exists. Customer data is deleted according to a defined deletion process after the license expires.
